Went back up to Astoria today to see what we could see. Saw some stuff too! :-)

Cool little town, with a really nice museum of the Columbia River.

Here's some of it...

This little bote was parked outside it at the dock. It's an active duty cutter....







It also houses a berth for the Columbia, a former CG Lightship....










And it has the first CG Lifeboat that was self rightable....

Cool display for it too...










After wed the museum, we headed over to the Wet Dog Saloon for lunch based on Michael's recommendation. It most definitely did not suck.....

Had a good selection of inhouse brews and the food was good too...


No, Michael, we did not go see the Goonies house, although we will before we leave the area.... .:-)
