Santa Cruz

Moved further south. We are in Santa Cruz for a few days to do the Monterey bay area. Pop, Santa Cruz KOA.




First a soothing break from our sponsor, Mr. Fire. It don't get much better than this... :-)

So, from the looks of all the farms and fields in the area, it looks like a good chunk of what you buy in the vegetable isle of your local supermarket comes from these parts. Lots of what I think is broccoli or brussel sprouts and strawberries. Probably tons more too. We only went a few miles from the park... Also saw some flower type growers.

Took a ride over to sunset beach, but they don't like Forrest there so we headed back north to Manresa's beach. Had to climb down about a 1/4 mile worth of stairs to get to the beach and then climb back up them to leave. We have scratched Manresa's off our list of must do sites.. :-)
Forrest was too tired to poop by the time he got there......

So tomorrow I think we are gonna do the north on the PCH route out of Santa Cruz and see what we run into. There's a Maritime museum up that way and a couple lighthouses for Karen to shoot. Might work our way up to Half Moon Bay.........
