Brookings Oregon

[Insert God of your choice here] bless America and all of us in it. Still the best country in the world to be in.......

Yo Squids.....

We arrived in Brookings Oregon this morning. To early to tell what it's all about. We are staying at the Driftwood RV resort just across from the Port of Brookings. The port sits on the Chetco River. It's mostly a pleasure craft port these days. Not a large fishing fleet here. The trip up was a waste from a seeing the sights standpoint. The fog rolled in thick last night and has not let up at all. Here's a shot towards the port from the park...

The fog in this shot is on the thinner side. It kinda rolls in in waves. Sometimes you can barely see the driftwood stumps, sometimes you see the masts of the boats in the harbor.....

Forrest is thrilled to be here....... how can we tell you ask? .......

We are within walking distance of the beach though. He was happy to see that!

We did a short incursion into California this afternoon. The park is only about 6 miles from the state line. Tomorrow we are going to check out the redwoods at a place the park manager told us about. Hopefully the sun will cooperate so we can get some pics.

Ya'll keep it between the ditches......

OMG, the videos are AWESOME, the pictures are AWESOME, the Blogs are AWESOME!!! I love this picture of Forrest, what a special life he is having. The Harbor Seals made my heart melt, I love them. I know they aren't that friendly, but I just want to kiss one right in their fishy spelling breath face. ;-) I have just caught up with your adventure today. I can't wait to see what Cali holds for you. All is well here. Love you guys. Miss you too.

Gracias Senora Kat. FTWD might not think it's so special. He still does not like getting in the truck unless he's told he's going to the B.E.A.C.H to hunt for C.R.A.B.S. I had to spell that because if I had said it, I'd have to take him... He can't spell.. :-)

You could kiss them, you just wouldn't have a face left after you did it... :-) So don't do that!

Pop, You should be here. The Albacore are running just offshore. They are catching tons of 50 and 60 pounders.....
