Waterfront, etc......

Well, we have been having a big time here in the Puget Sound area. Traffic is a cluster and parking is a pain and expensive but the views are awesome. We could actually see Mt. Ranier from Downtown today. We have been sleeping a little late, doing midmorning to midafternoon's seeing the sights and evenings chillin' at the portacrib. No stress schedule..... :-)

We went back down to the waterfront today so we could eat here.....

Good seafood joint, but a REALLY good BloodyMary joint! Lindsay and I had scallops. Karen had some cajun Ahi Tuna. Lindsay and I picked right... ;-)

After we finished that we headed over to Argosy shipping and took a harbor cruise on the Spirit of Seattle. Great way to see the city and kill some time.

Here's a little vid of the ride....

This one shows a bulk freighter waiting at anchor to head into the grain docks to take on a load of grains to ship to Asia...

We also saw the Coast Guard's docks here. There were two cutters and two ice breaker's there. One of the breaker's was in drydock. Saw another smaller cutter cruising the harbour while we were out.

After the cruise we went back up to Pike Street Market. There was a vendor there that had something that Lindsay wanted, but he was NOT there today. Sucked to ber her today.. :-)

Pike street is pretty cool. Much better than the French Market in NOLA in my opinion. Better "stuff" and better eats.

Traffic here is killer. Probably the worst I've seen anywhere. The interstates are crowded and dangerous. Having the GPS has made it safer and more bearable to travel here though. Knowing ahead of time where you are going to have to turn allows you some time to dodge the idiots.

Tomorrow we are gonna head down to Mt. Rainier, apparently because Kasey Kane's hometown is on the way. Guess who wants to do that? ;-)

Well, It's time to fire up the grill and burn some supper. We'll check back in later...

Scallops!!!! I'm siting here thinking I am going to get a bite by bite commentary on eating a huge dungeness crab or six. Bah, you are missing out on one of the great sea foods out there.

Sounds like you are having a great time, I know Linsay is enjoying it.

I have ridden those ferry's and know how exciting it is to see the sights. Use to be that you could see seals around the docks.

Take care, love you all,

Pop

Au Contraire Mon Papa.. I have eaten the dungeness. Had some today in a chowder of sorts. Made me wanna slap my mamma........

I am holdin' out till I get over to the coast before I make a slob of myself with them though. Cheaper over there.

Well OK!!! make me proud, eat a few for me. I was just rereading my comments from yesterday...:) Is ridden a word? maybe rode is a better word. Tell Linsay we will be thinking about her until she gets home, let us know how her trip back home goes.

Check your email when you get a chance.

They are good, but they ain't that good. Anyway found some locally. Judy and I went into a new eatery Friday and damn if they didn't have them on their menu. I got one for about 8 bucks. It was good, cooked in garlic kind of butter. Messy but quite tasty.

BTW thanks anyway,

Love you, pop
