A "Rather" nice day for moving north.

Well, we moved off this morning and headed north on 93 to US2 and West Glacier Montana. Hell of a nice drive up here. Wasn't far but it was all two lane in the mountains so was a fast run. We skirted the Mission Mountains on our right most of the trip.

We are in Flathead Indian country and drove through their reservation today. It is by far the largest reservation we driven through so far and we have been through several. Flathead lake is a HUGH mountain reservoir. We drove probably 50 miles along it. Beautiful country. We did see a few indians along the way and none of them had flat heads..... go figure....

We got set up in another nice park. It's an old park but our site is great. Large with woods on both sides.
It looks like the rigs behind us are close, but there's a road between us. Big spruce trees that smell great!

Here's the other side.

Here's the mountain across the road from the RV park. More beautiful views around here......

Now, we got here and got set up. It was a bit after lunch time so we decided to go get some lunch. We went into the "town" of West Glacier. On the Going to the Sun road sits West Glacier restaurant. We stopped in there and ate. Just as we are finishing up, in walks Dan Rather! Yep, he's oldern' dirt but it was cool seeing him anyway......

So tomorrow we are going hit the Going to the Sun road. Look for some good pics.......

Thanks Angie. The pic's don't do any of it justice.

Pop, _you_ could park a semi in this site! It's a nice park, except for the trains last night. At least 10 of them starting at about 10:00pm and going all night. Oh well, we can sleep when we are dead....

Not sure why Dan was in the area. He had a couple folks with him and it looked like they were talkin' bidness. We didn't bother him.

Current temp here in West Glacier, 38. Got down to 34 last night. :-)
