Got up this morning kinda late. Didn't roll out of the bed till almost 8:00. Decided to head down to Big Fork to see the art festival. Today was the last day. It was not a bad little festival. A small village with a fair amount of local artists. Forrest and I had Asian Noodles for breakfast at the festival and then he had some of Karen's Asian barbque to finish off his breakfast. He got to meet a bunch of other dogs so he had a pretty good morning.
After we got back to the portacrib, about lunchtime, we kenneled up the wonder dog and took a ride towards the sun. Our timing really sucked because the traffic was bad. To be expected here in August though. Winter starts here in a couple more weeks.. :-)
Logan pass did not open this year until the middle of July. We went up there today and came back down. It was a most amazing drive up into the mission mountains, almost to Canada. Here's some of the road and the views.......

We are still pretty low in the valley here but on our way up.

How about these peaks! Temps up at logan pass at about 3:00 today was a steaming 58. Last night down at the portacrib it got down to about 50. Beautiful weather!

A small piece of the road on the way to the sun....

This is out of Karen's window on the way up. She was a bit..........tense......... at some of these spots... :-)

Another shot that shows how the road runs around the mountain.

These guys were up at Logan Pass. There were a billion people up there so this was shot by zooming way out. Hopefully we are going back up EARLY tomorrow so we may get to see some real close.
It was good day to ride up the hill.
