South Dakota back to Wyoming

Hola Amigos and Amigoettes.....

Have some catching up to do. Have been without a reliable internet connection for the last week. We left the Black hills day before yesterday heading in the general direction of Montana and Yellowstone. Our original plan was to head over to Cody Wyoming to spend one night, then move on to Gardiner Montana to spend a week or so. On the road from SD we changed our plans a bit based on road signs...

We spent the night in Thermopolis Wyoming. Their claim to fame is the largest hot springs anywhere. Ok....maybe so.. It was kinda cool but we probably should have done Cody instead. Here's some shots from the springs place....

There is a honkin' big mineral pool here with a waterslide for the kiddies and a couple spa's and "State Mineral Baths" also. This water in thing is hot enough to boil lobsters or Cajun lobsters. Smell's like a forrest fart in the truck though!

How cool is this? Just below this is a spring called white sulpher spring. Hot and stinky!

From here over to Yellowstone, you would hit pockets of sulpher smell along the highway. We all would look at each other and start to place blame until we realized that it was Mother Earth instead of us.. :-)

The drive over was just as amazing as some of the others we have done. While in the Black Hills, we have pine
