Rained yesterday. No really, it did. Had at least 45 minutes of good rain. First thing I noticed is that rain in the high desert smells just like sage. And the smell hangs in the air for a long time! All that rain was gone this morning though. All dried up like it never even happened. I'm sure the plants sucked up what they could while they could, but it's gone today.
So we hook up in the morning and move further north. Gonna hang out for a few days in either Taos or Eagle Nest. There's a state park in Eagle Nest we are going to try and get into, otherwise it's a commercial park in Taos. If we hit the state park, no wifi so we'll be out of touch for a few days.
Today we took Forrest back to the dog park. He sniffed some butts, pee'd on some trees and, if things had gone better for him, him and this lil border collie would be dancin' a tango right about now. Didn't work out for him though. He has learned to poop in places that are not particularly sandy though. That's a good thing in case you are wondering.
After that we brought him back to the portacrib and left him to dream about Fifi while we went and found some bait for lunch on the eastern side of town. In case any of you fine folks are taking notes and plan to come to ABQ some day. The northern and eastern sides of town are just a bit more upscale than where we are staying. We are. of course, trailer trash so we are where we should be, but if you gussy up a bit, you can sneak into some of the better areas.
Ya'll remember the game punch bug? Well Karen and I changed it. It's now punch minicooper. I beat the shit outta karen today.... Hehehehehhehe.......
Also, we are staying just off I40. Ya'll might be aware that it runs east and west. There's a whole boat load of Californians escaping and heading east. Every night here and the portacrib parking lot they come in and in the morning light they leave and head east. Look out kids, most of them are dicks and they are headed your way!
We did meet one nice lady from there last night. Chatted dogs with her for a while. They are headed west though, going back home.
Ya'll have a great night and non sucky tomorrow now, ya heah.....
