Mission Texas

So here's our new crib..... ok, it's the same crib, new location. We moved west from South Padre about an hour and half to the area of Mission Texas. You have McAllen,Mission, Pharr, Edinburg, and Hidalgo all grouped up together. We haven't had much time to explore it yet, but we will be here for a week. Our RV Park is next to Bentsen Valley State Park which is a hugh birding area and supposedly lots of butterfly's. The RV park gives free passes to these parks so we'll see how cool that is...

The RV park is probably the best one we've stayed in since we left. Here's some shots.....This is looking to the right from out site.

This is looking across the street.

We have the park to ourselves basically.

Cool landscaping between the sites. Out our back window is a ranch that has bramah beef mooing and there's big ole' floppy eared jack rabbits all over the place.

More tomorrow....

Sure hope you can get your A/C problem worked out with Bankston without a big hassle. Do you think you might have to take the rig back to Huntsville to get it fixed? Hope you can do it on the road somewhere.

Neat pictures, was wondering if you would see a road runner, goofy birds huh, beep, beep.

All is well back this way...keep posting. Love, Pop

Hola Papasita....no, won't come back to hsv to get it changed. I'll pay for a new out here and sue them if I have too. Got a call from the Bankston guy today, who said either he or the factory would call me back today with a solution. Neither called. I'll be on his ass like a bluejay on a junebug monday morning. :-)

Yeah, the roadrunners were neatern' grits. It was a family of four and they were not real skittish around us. There was a small patch of shrubs and flowers that had automatic waterers running and they were running around in the sprinklers taking showers. Funny as hell!

You and Judy would love this RV park and the state park. There are a billion birds around here. Karen and I were at the pool yesterday evening just before dark. There are some bushes planted around the pool that have these red/yellow flowers. We were in the pool watching the hummingbirds fly around.

Then there are these birds called Texas greater grackels that are everywhere here, like sparrows back home. Make a bunch of neat calls.
