Yeah, so we moved this morning. Got to Camping World this morning at 8:00 and by 9:45 had a new AC. Jury's still out on how much difference it'll make. It's only 103 here right now. Here is Seminole Canyon Natural Historic Area. It's a desert, or the beginning of one. Not sure the pictures I have will do it justice but it's a beautiful area in a stark kinda way.
The canyons have caves in them that are full of Native American cave paintings. Not sure if we will get to do the canyon tour because of the heat. They apparently don't do them if it's over 100 cuz you've got to hike it.
On the way in we past Amistead National Recreation Area. We are gonna take a drive back over there tomorrow and shoot some pics of it. Awesome lake with some beautiful blue water.
Tonite we will be counting stars. We'll post the count tomorrow....

I'm not sure any A/C could put much of a dent in 103 degrees...but sure hope it makes a valiant effort. The view is awesome; so much emptiness but probably really busy just under the surface where it's a little cooler.
Empty ain't a bad thing sometimes. A person can realize out here just exactly how small they really are in the grand scheme of things.
The desert smells awesome too!
Wow!! Well I heard there is one star in Texas, the lone star. Guess you won't have to take your shoes off to count 'em, huh? Have you run across Pecos bill out there yet? Heard he was a mean hombre. Take care Nomads, love you.
Wow. did you get GPS Coords to the cocktails and friends banging? I think need to conduct a military mission out the and investigate for the weekend....
