Fishing lesson #3

DO NOT go to Barnett creek on a falling tide when the tide is supposed to be a negative tide. And if you DO go to Barnett when the tide is falling to a negative tide and you notice the locals buggin' ass about 2 hours before low tide, follow them OUT of Barnett.

Now we did manage to get back into East Pass before ALL the water moved to Mexico, but just barely. We used the trolling motor until we drained it's battery and then found enough water to run the big motor trimmed all the way up to get the rest of the way back into the river.... I was really worried that I was gonna have to lighten the load by about 200lbs, when I threw Pop's big ass over the side and make him walk back.... I'm grinnin' now, but then I was considering ALL my options...... Oh come on, I wasn't gonna MAKE him pull the boat!...............................

We only managed to catch a short trout each for all our trouble........

You know, I'm starting to think you two need some supervision down there....

Nah, what we NEED is a good pushpole! Course you could try and supervise us, but then you just be standing out from the bow with a rope right next to your grandpa!

Mikey, you think you can supervise your dad and his dad who is just like him? The Coast Guard didn't teach you smarts huh..., oh well, gators gotta eat too.
