Today.....

You lookin' at me? What u want sucka...............

Yeah, so we went up to the San Diego Wild Animal Park today. This is where they have the critters that they breed for their zoo, and others too. The breeding deal has been there since '72. They just recently built the park so the public can come hang there too. It's pretty cool, although they are a bit misleading about their advertising. You see commercials and pictures of trucks rolling through the "plains" folks enjoying the critters up close and personal. Well you can do that very thing, for another $69.00+ depending on which ride you choose, AFTER you pay the $30 or so entrance to the park fee, and this is AFTER you pay the $9.00 to park in their parking lot. Having said that they way I did, it's worth the parking and entrance to do the walking tour and the included tram tour. After all they are helping to keep some critters alive that would otherwise not survive us humans......

Critters like him.....

He had a bunch of lady lions hanging out in the jungle with him. They were busy munching on fresh furry little bunnies and freakin' out the little kiddies watching them do it. I found it interesting that they do there feeding of these guys during the busy time of the day where everyone could watch. Needless to say the kids were not happy about then....

They also had a cool aviary fulled with Lorikeets from down under.... cool birds...

Noisy lil buggers but fun to watch........

One of the cool things about the place is that they have a pair of Northern White Rhino's. There are eight of these animals still alive in the world. Their two and six in the Chech republic.

Anyhoo, it was worth the drive up to Escondido to see it.......

Well we are all snuggled in at our camp site here in good ole Cedar Key Florida. Had a great 77th birthday and 35th anniversary dinner with my lovely wife.We were here about 35 years ago, remember we were in the banner RV and stopped at the Captains Table and ate, thats where we ate last night, but it is no longer The Captains Table. Thanks for all the phone calls. We just gonna kick back and relax for a few days.

Judy and I have always wanted to visit the zoo out there. It is the number one zoo in my opinion.

I am going ape shit over the WIfI we have here at the site.

I am missing my awning rod, think I must have left it in Orange Beach when we met you up there. Was lucky the RV camp owner had an old rusty one he had in a shed. I'll clean it when I get home.

Love you guys, take care,

Pop
