Real hilly around Santee, where we are staying for the next week, with brown low scrub instead of green like we've been in for a long while. Oh yeah, it's hottern' hell too. I keep telling Karen we are going back to Oregon!
So the San Diego area is probably the best looking area we've been in while in Cali, with the possible exception of the Redwoods. San Diego is a neat city. We went down to Old Town today and wandered around the shops and had lunch. After we left there we headed down to the harbor to look around a little bit.
Here's what we found... Pay attention Michael....
USCG AIR STA San Diego, on a beautiful harbor...
Hey look, it's one of YOUR airframes! :-)
And here's the view across from the Air Station....
We also rode over to La Jolla to take a look at the beach..... found a nice little park there....
One of the noticable differences between SD and LA is the lack of graffiti here. In LA everything is covered in it, and I mean everything. I worried about parking the truck there! SD is one of the cleaner large cities we've been in.....
Hope all is well on your end......

Yeah, the 37s actually one of my old birds from here. I've logged a few hours on her. They have a big sailboat race that either starts or finishes from that harbor and the redbull air races are held there, too. Definately want to go there, but it's not on the horizon as of yet...
love ya'll
Soon as we get done fishing in Kodiak though right......

Yessir. Already got my eyes on a boat up there. I'll send youthe link when I go back to work... Not too long now we'll be pulling in 130 pound hallibut...
Halibut are tough. Catch something light tasting & flaky.
