On the west coast at least. We went over to Point Loma today to see the last lighthouse on the U. S. West coast. The old point loma light house. Built in the mid 1800's, they thought they were in tall cotton. Unfortunatly, they WERE too tall. At 422' on the coast, it spent the important part of it's job in the low clouds and fog that frequents the area. They had to build another lightstation lower down the slope. It's still there and still works...

The new one ain't as cute, but here's it's location anyway..

Here's a shot of San Diego from the point...

A fat bastard and his master, both on their last day on a west coast beach..... which is which?

This beach is the dog beach in Ocean Beach. It is THE sniff and be sniffed beach in the area! Forrest had his nose in so many butts he is still delirious.......
Karen is positive she saw a tucan flying by the first time we were here......

It was an unsuccessful crab hunt, but he's still a happy dog. Guess I'm gonna have to teach him to hunt rattlesnakes and scorpions tomorrow when we get back in the desert!
