Amazing that men could take this littlie ditch that the Colorado ran through and stop it up like they did. Beautiful sight...

Again, there's no way a picture can do it justice. You must someday, stand above it and look down to get the big picture so to speak.

We did the generator tour, because the full dam tour was all booked up. One of the things the guide talked about was the number of deaths during construction. For me, the one death that struck me was this one...




Not trying to lessen the deaths of the men who worked on this amazing project, but when you undertake some on this scale, folks is gonna die trying to make it happen.....




Cool trip and a must do if you come out to Vegas.....

On another note, I love the desert. The air smells fantastic and clean...... not in Vegas itself of course because there are tons of us driving around and stinkin' it up. But outside the cities, it's an amazing place to be......
