Pismo III

Yeah well, maybe I was a little quick to judge as I said earlier...... We found probably the best Sushi Joint I've eaten in since I started eating bait. Even MommaSan Karen liked it... Yanagi Sushi. Slap ya mama good Sushi. Nope, slap ya Grandmama good Sushi! Now, it wasn't the ultimate of course. I'm still seeking it..... but it was really good......

And we came back to the porta crib to this....

Yeah I know, it don't suck......

Here's a look at the town..... from the coast up the hill.....

Playing kick the dogs ass.....

For the record, the dog usually wins these little sparring contests. But then he does have four legs and sharp teeth.

I do have some bad news though, It appears that some where along the way he got bit by a vampire and now he's a dog of the night...... Oh well, the blood bank is cheaper than Beneful........

So what we've decided about Pismo is that it was THE place to go hang out and chill in the 60's and 70's. We think kinda like Panama City USED to be back in the day. It's gotten a bit old and could use a face lift but it ain't too bad. If you are coming this way anyway, then stop and spend a few days here and just recharge. We only had yesterday and today to do that. Tomorrow we are off to San Dimas. We were only able to get three nights at the portacrib parking spot there, so LA will be a short trip for us. That's probably not a bad thing though. We did book a week at Santee Lakes in San Diego though so we can rest and relaxe a bit from the road bumps.

Like I was telling Judy on the phone the other day, so far California has not really impressed us that much. As Karen says, it's vast expanses of nothing broken up by a few things that tweak us a little bit. San Fran was cool, and would be worth a flight in and back out after a week. The Redwoods are definitely worth the see, but DON'T drive all the way across the country JUST for those two visits. In defense of the state, we have not ventured inland so there just MIGHT be something worth seeing there. Tomorrow's trip to San Dimas will be as far East as we've been in a while.

We have found a few places that we would like to come back to some day. California ain't one of them....
