Karen and I were in real danger, but up jumped Forrest the Wonder Dog and saved us again! Damn that was close.......

Unfortunately for the crab, shortly after this was filmed, the sea gulls...... well... they had a fine dungeness dinner.... Personally, I prefer a little drawn butter to dip 'em in, but to each their own.....

Speaking of sea birds, how about this amazing site! Dunno what these were, except for the pelicans mixed in, but there were thousands of them feasting on the bounties of the sea.....

We stared out the morning...... well ok, not really "morning"..... more like the approaching lunch hour wondering what our last day on the northern Oregon coast would bring us. We came back north the other day from Tillamook through a different part of Cannon Beach that looked kinda cool so we thought we would go back and check it out. Dat's what we did today. I guess we kinda found "main street". After reading a bit more about Cannon Beach, they claim to be the "Carmel" of Oregon. I think they have a ways to go, having been to Carmel once, but we'll see after the second go around for Carmel.

It is a cool little beach town though. The typical shops and eatery's but some more decent ones. It's an art community, or at least an art selling community. They have some nicer galleries with some really high priced stuff. The most expensive that I saw today was a $35,000.00 bronze of an eagle. It was pretty nice, but............. well, it ain't in the Portacrib tonite.....

I did find a REALLY cool old building though. It was a gallery and studio for this old dood who was a good painter.

Neat place.....
