Finally saw a westcoast sunset!

We've been on the west coast for a while now...... What since August 10 when we got in Seattle and we just today was an actual sunset. Everything before has been covered in clouds or fog! It was amazing and beautiful but not anybetter than ones we have seen in the Key's and along the west coast of Florida. But we HAVE seen one on the Pacific side!

Here's a shot on the way down to the beach. If you go to the beach here, you go to a parking lot and then you go DOWN to the beach. There are always stairs involved.... :-)

The shot above is from the top.

This one is on the beach and the orb is on it's way down.....

Wish I could add sound and smell to these pics...... the salt air and the waves..... it don't get much better.....

Splash down, for both the orb and the pelican!

And finally.......
A beautiful end to a damn fine day......

But that's how the day ended, this is how it started!

This is the Pigeon Point lighthouse just outside Pescadaro California. We did not see any pigeons, but there was a significant amount of bird shit on the rocks surrounding the light, so there *MIGHT* be some pigeons in the area, we cannot confirm that though..... Oh yeah, there's also some sea lion poo along the rocks too, but you can generally distinguish it from the bird doo......

If any of ya'll doubt that, lemme know and I'll shovel up some and mail it to ya.....

Anyhow, we found this light on the way up to Half Moon Bay. Not sure why they call it Half Moon Bay. We did not see a Half Moon, a Quarter Moon, a Full Moon, or even Sun Yung Moon. But they were having an LPGA golf tournament there. So there were no doubt some moon around the area...... ;-)

There was some nice views along the way up the coast though. Here's a shot from Bean Hollow Beach.....

Tommorow we head down to Marina California, just north of Monterey. We are gonna spend three days in the Monterey area and then head down to Pismo beach for another couple days. We might stay and extra day or two in Monterey depending on the park we are in. I think we are gonna do a week in San Dimas just north of LA before we head on down to San Diego. The temps are getting warmer the further south we go, although they are still not bad here on the coast. I think today hit about 66 or so and it won't get much cooler than that tonite. No AC and No furnace at night is the perfect temp!

Here's a sip of Anejo Hornitos to you all. Sleep tight.....
