Skyline's

Took a drive today over towards Royal Gorge to see the Royal Gorge bridge. They wanted a significant chunk of change just to walk out on this bridge. We declined. But while geocacheing our way there I commenced to look for a cache called Skyline. What I found was an awesome road, just barely wide enough for the truck tires to fit on, that ran along a ridge up a mountain. The pictures do not do any justice to the ride. Ask Karen about it when you see/talk to her again... :-)

You're in my old stomping grounds now. Back in 1949 as a young airman I was all over the place around there. Went up Pike's peak in my first automobile, 1937 Hudson with an electric shift. The Garden of the gods is a nice place to visit also. You now way past me on geocaches , slow down! :) Sorry you gonna miss frontier days in Cheyenne, I had fun there too as a young dude. Take care,
love you, Pop

Not a bad place around here. It's probably changed a mite since your days. We drove past the peak. :-)
