Well, we are wrapping up southern Montana and the Yellowstone area and moving on north. We leave in the morning and will be heading up through Livinston, Bozeman, Butte and into Missoula. We are gonna stay a couple days in Missoula in the hopes of finding some good Sushi and other big city stuff. This mountain food was good but we need a break! From there we are going up to Glacier National Park for a few days. Gotta ride the Highway to the Sun and catch some more fish up there.
We spent the last couple days just chillin and hangin' close to the porta crib. We are staked out next to the Yellowstone River and I have been catching some fish. Have caught a few cut throats which are native to these waters and endangered and must be released. Have also caught brooks and rainbows and one Mountain Whitefish. None of them have been monsters, but they've all been fun!
Yesterday evening we were sitting outside when I noticed forrest acting more weird than normal. A large herd of elk was making it's way through the area, eating the grass at the houses that water their grass. We had a big time watching' them eat and play.
Not sure what the communication situation will be over the next few days to a week or so. Will probably have internet as far as Missoula. Won't have it at GNP.
Our plans have us in the Seattle area for a week starting on the 9th so we will have both Tmobile and Internet there.

You know we don't tie flys here...we swat 'em!!! The elk eating the lawns reminds me of the moose in Alaska, they used to eat my garden...We had a chain linked fence, but they just stepped over it :) Sounds like you got an interesting itinerary for the next few weeks. Missoula is the home of the smoke jumpers. I think they have a big school there for training.
Went to the ticker doctor yesterday..He said he thought I was doing fine.
Man I envy you on the fishing thang..bet you are having fun. Have lots of fun in the sun, son...love to the both of you...pop
Swat 'em here too. Then we glue a small hook on 'em and feed 'em to the fish! Then we EAT the fish!
The elk really liked clover. They would walk from clover patch to clover patch and munch away.
Glad to hear the ticker doc news!
Love ya'll....
