Black Hills

Well, we are wrapping up our Black Hills week. It has been much fun checking out this area of the country. All ya'll put this down on your must do list. Those of you that enjoy motorized bikes, put this on your must do sooner rather than later list! It's truly beautiful country. Seeing Mt. Rushmore will stir some of your patriotic blood as will Crazy Horse. Some of the rest of it's tourist trappy, but worth seeing anyway. Custer State Park is probably one of the best state parks I've seen. Certainly one of the biggest.

The native folks around here are friendly and generally don't take scalps. This is definitely a place I'd come back to. Custer is ok, but Hill City and Keystone are cooler. Sturgis was cool, just cuz all my biker buddies want to go there and see the tata's and beer. We went there today, but were too early for the tata's and beer. We had breakfast instead. We did stop in a real, shonuff saloon in Keystone though and had a couple shots and a beer somewhere around the lunch time.

Tomorrow is laundry day, clean up the rig day and prepare to set sail for Cody Wyoming for one night then Gardiner Montana for a week. We'll be right outside the north gate for Yellowstone. Looking forward to that. The discovery channel says that Yellowstone is a volcano waiting to happen. Hope she don't blow while we are there! ;-)
