Got mine today.... a nice 26" 'er, thanks to K and FTWD!

K did manage to get him IN the net....

Oceanside, Encinatias, Cardiff.....

Rode back up north today about 1/2 between San Diego and LA so we could finish up the ride down the Pacific Coast Highway or PCH as it's locally known. Oceanside is the southern border of Camp Pendleton, a friggin' huge Marine Corps Base. Pendleton just had a pretty significant fire on base that burned over 1900 acres on their weapons ranges.

Here's some shots from our trip down to NOLA last month...

New country.....

Pop and I took a left up this little creek that we have passed a hundred times running east pass. Rode a couple miles or so up the creek...... see if you can hear the banjo's in the background!

Been a while......

Been a while since we posted. Been too busy..... Michael, Michelle, and Emma Grace came down for a while. For the record, Michael DID NOT smoke the old doods fishing. He did manage to catch a couple small ones, because the old doods put him right where the fish were!




Emma is moving around pretty good and has a tooth now too.... keep fingers away from her mouth! She also loves eating Forrest's collar and rabies tag......... Forrest is not her biggest fan either.......

Michael taught EG to play "Crazy Baby" just like Willie B did it!..... Could not get her to do it for a video though....



She definitely has a mind of her own......

Pop finally got his big Red yesterday! I expected him to lose it at the boat, but he managed to get it close enough to the net.....


Then I found out that these dumb ole' cracker rednecks have a strange custom. They like to suck the eyes out of the keeper fish they put in the boat........

Silver Springs

Where's ma cookie? C'mon dood, cough it up!

Took a ride over to Ocala today to see Silver Springs... not nearly as big as it was as a kid, but still cool........Took the glass bottom boat rides over the springs and a little ways down the Silver River. Karen and Judy rode the lighthouse to get a higher view........


Old fart found him some hotties wandering around.....
Fun day. Took Pop and Judy over to Tony's after we left and force fed them some Sushi. They did good!
